Frida Silva believes effective family law representation begins with understanding the person behind the case. Every family has its own circumstances, priorities, and challenges, and Frida takes the time to understand those individual considerations before developing a strategy. Her approach is thoughtful and client-centered, with a focus on providing clear guidance, strong advocacy, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s goals.
Frida’s legal experience has been devoted exclusively to domestic relations and domestic violence matters, and she represents clients in a wide range of legal disputes, including divorce, child-related disputes, and orders of protection. While she believes that negotiated resolutions can often provide individuals with greater control and certainty, she is equally prepared to advocate rigorously for her clients in court when it is necessary.
During her time at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Frida became involved in the Domestic Violence Practicum. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in client-centered advocacy, trauma-informed communication, and careful case assessment. This experience continues to inform her approach to family law and domestic violence matters and her commitment to providing compassionate, thorough, and effective representation.
Born in Mexico, Frida also brings a cross-cultural perspective to her practice and understands that a client’s background, culture, and lived experiences can shape how they approach the legal system. As a native Spanish speaker, Frida is able to communicate directly with Spanish-speaking clients and help make the legal process more accessible to those who may otherwise face language or cultural barriers. She recognizes that language access is an important part of effective advocacy, and she strives to ensure that every client feels heard, understood, and empowered to participate fully in decisions affecting themselves and their family.
When she is not advocating for her clients, Frida enjoys cooking, watching films, and practicing yoga.
